Smart Conversation with Toby Bloomberg of Diva Foodies

Big ideas today foodies Toby BloombergVideos are one of the hardest and most avoided tasks online today.

At least, with women.

I was one of those women who avoided doing video. I don’t like the way I look online. I don’t like the way I sound. I feel self-conscious and awkward. I would memorize my lines and sound like a wooden robot saying them in front of the camera. Or, I'd forget a line and fall apart.

Does that sound familiar?

If it does, I hope you’ll tune in to Nurturing Big Ideas Today - our once a week video interview show.

I do this because I know, from my learning, that video is huge today. Hubspot, a favorite educational site of mine, says, “Brands need a video marketing strategy — this idea isn’t new. What has changed is how important video has become on every platform and channel.

What I’ve discovered is that having conversations with people who understand, helps me forget my issues with being on camera.

Interviewing people I’ve either just met or who have requested a chance to be on the show, also works to help me get over myself.

And that’s what I want you to do. Get over yourself and do more video.

Being intentional with Toby Smart Conversations

Today's video is with my dear friend Toby Bloomberg of Diva Foodies. I contacted a number of old friends to help me launch the show and Toby was the first one who responded. But, of course. She and I do go back to those early days of blogging and social media.

We met online. We became friends online. And we helped each other out with big ideas.

In this interview, Toby and I talk about Diva Foodies, a venture she began not too long ago. Like me, Toby is a serial entrepreneur. Diva Foodies is remarkable in its space - the website is a tantalizing step into the world of food and all of its drool-inspiring aspects.

The Powerhouse Duo of Diva Foodies

The real power behind this is the talent and insight Toby, and her partner in cupcakes (my description, not theirs), Marianne Richmond, bring to each campaign they work on. The experience these two women bring to social media and marketing for ‘foodies’ is off the scale! Visit the link here, to their about page, and learn more about them. I love their interview each other format!

For Nurturing Big Ideas Today the format is casual, conversational, and fun. Toby and I talk “intentional”, which is her word for what she meant when she decided to go forward with Diva Foodies.

How intentional are you?

How intentional should you be?

Can you regroup and become intentional?

Watch the video and let me know what you think. Share and share alike. I know you know other women who need to see this.

Write to me if you’re interested in being on the show.
