Videos are one of the hardest and most avoided tasks online today.

I was one of those women who avoided doing video. I don’t like the way I look online. I don’t like the way I sound. I feel self-conscious and awkward.

Does that sound familiar?

I do this because I know, from my learning, that video is huge today. Hubspot, a favorite educational site of mine, says, “Brands need a video marketing strategy — this idea isn’t new. What has changed is how important video has become on every platform and channel.

What I’ve discovered is that conducting interviews with people who understand, helps me forget my issues with being on camera.

Interviewing people I’ve either just met or who have requested a chance to be on the show, also works to help me get over myself.

And that’s what I want you to do. Get over yourself and do more video.

This week, I talk with Toby Bloomberg of Diva Foodies. I contacted a number of old friends to help me launch the show and Toby was the first one who responded. But, of course. She and I do go back to those early days of blogging and social media.

We met online. We became friends online. And we helped each other out with big ideas.

In this interview, Toby and I talk about Diva Foodies, a venture she began not too long ago. Like me, Toby is a serial entrepreneur. Diva Foodies is remarkable in its space - the website is a tantalizing step into the world of food and all of its drool-inspiring aspects.
